IKEA - Lampa (3) - R101 Ramp - Aluminium

3 x Vintage IKEA “Ramp” Picture / Mirror Lights – Type R101 – Late 1970s, Sweden

A rare and highly decorative set of three vintage IKEA “Ramp” Picture / Mirror Lights, model R101, dating from the late 1970s.
These distinctive early IKEA lights were designed for painting, picture and mirror illumination, with their long aluminium housings directing a warm, focused light onto artwork. They can also be used above mirrors, paintings, cabinets, shelves or other decorative displays.

This design is typically Scandinavian: a sleek aluminium body with black plastic end caps, adjustable mounting brackets and a minimalist industrial appearance. The combination of aluminium and the original vintage fittings gives these lamps a wonderful 1970s Space Age / Scandinavian design character.

This offering is particularly attractive as it contains three rare matching original examples, all tested and in a near mint working order. Nowhere to be found online (in contrary to the later R101-2)
