D.B. Sculpture – Balance Frame – L Size
Balance Frame is a unique geometric sculpture exploring the relationship between structure, weight, negative space and visual balance.
The composition combines a strong rectangular iron frame with solid concrete elements, creating a sense of tension between stability and movement. Although the sculpture weighs approximately 7 kg and has a strong physical presence, its open structure gives it a clean and minimalist character.
The contrast between raw concrete, dark iron and empty space reflects the Brutalist approach that plays a central role in my artistic practice.

Finish: Cold-blackened iron with protective varnish

The sculpture is suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Its weight and solid construction provide good stability, while the metal surface is protected with varnish.
The artwork is signed by the artist with the initials D.B. and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Each of my works is individually conceived and handcrafted in my own workshop. Small variations in texture, surface and finish are part of the individual character of each piece.
ARTIST INFORMATION
I am a self-taught contemporary artist and sculptor based in Spain. I develop my artistic practice independently and work primarily with iron and concrete.
My work is characterised by geometric forms, structural balance, negative space, raw materials and a strong industrial and Brutalist aesthetic. My practice moves between contemporary sculpture, Brutalist design and functional art.
Brutalism occupies a central place in my artistic work. I believe this artistic language still has great unexplored potential and is often misunderstood in contemporary art and design.
One of my main goals as an artist is to bring Brutalism closer to people and to show that raw materials, strong geometry and structural forms can also be attractive, refined and suitable for contemporary living spaces.
For me, Brutalism is not only about heaviness, roughness or austerity. It can also express balance, rhythm, elegancе and emotion.
It is particularly important to me that my art reaches people. I do not believe art should remain limited only to galleries or institutions. I want my works to become part of real homes and living spaces and to help a wider audience discover and appreciate the visual language of Brutalism.
I currently develop my artistic practice independently in my own workshop, outside the traditional gallery and artistic residency system.
I have not participated in formal artistic residencies or received official art awards to date. My artistic trajectory has developed independently through the creation of my work and direct contact with collectors.
My artworks have been acquired by private collectors in several European countries, including Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
More than 220 of my artworks and design pieces have been sold through Catawiki, with 100% positive buyer feedback.
My original artworks are available exclusively through Catawiki.

Inspiruje mnie monumentalność, ciężar, odsłonięta konstrukcja i szczere materiały. Nie próbuję ich ukrywać ani łagodzić; zamiast tego pozwalam im mówić samemu za siebie.
Moje prace są aktem oporu przeciwko szybkiemu konsumpcjonizmowi. Nie są tworzone dla tymczasowych trendów ani sezonowych upodobań, lecz dla trwałości.
To obiekty, które domagają się obecności, czasu i relacji z osobą, która z nimi mieszka.
Są tworzone nie po to, by były zastępowane, lecz by pozostać — starzeć się razem z przestrzenią i z jednostką.
