Opis od sprzedawcy

An elegant German Art Nouveau silver centrepiece made by Vereinigte Silberwarenfabriken of Düsseldorf in the early 20th century.

The bowl is crafted from solid 800 silver and rests on four delicate openwork feet. Its upper section is decorated with a continuous band of pierced, stylised foliage arranged in flowing, heart-shaped patterns, while the lower body features evenly spaced vertical fluting. The interior retains its gilded finish.

The original crystal glass liner has a beautifully shaped, undulating rim with engraved parallel waves that complement the silver decoration. The survival of the original glass insert makes this a particularly attractive and complete example of German Jugendstil silverwork.

The piece bears the German crescent and crown hallmarks, the 800 silver standard, the manufacturer's mark and the factory number 8133.

The silver weighs 319 g, excluding the glass liner. The centrepiece measures 18 cm in diameter and 9.5 cm in height.

Preserved in very good antique condition, with minor wear consistent with age. The piece comes from the Bednarek family collection and is accompanied by specialist documentation confirming its attribution, period and silver standard.
