A 2008 vintage Glentauchers release matured and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their 'Distillery Labels’ range. Entrusted with new-make spirit from Scotland’s distilleries to make whisky in their own casks, the range is testimony to the long established relationships built up over the years. Aged for 15 years in oak casks and bottled at a great strength of 46% abv. This bottling showcases just how good Glentauchers is as a single malt.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Duszone jabłka z laską wanilii i kandyzowaną skórką pomarańczową. Kompot malinowy rozwija się obok aromatycznej przyprawy cynamonowej.
Taste: Gładkie jabłko i żywa gruszka świetnie współgrają z cukrem demerara. Goździk i mandarynka ustępują miejsca anyżowi i odrobinie białego pieprzu.
Finish: Finisz średniej długości z wyczuwalną przyprawą i orzechem włoskim.
