Opis od sprzedawcy

“Touch of Gold” by Michał Lenartowicz is an expressive abstract painting in which painterly matter, color, and gesture form a dense structure that feels almost physically tangible.

The composition is dominated by cool greens and turquoises, broken by deep, dark passages and fiery gold–orange accents. These “golden” elements are not evenly distributed; they appear like sudden flashes—bursts of energy or moments of intensity—breaking through the layered surface of paint. Gold functions here as an emotional ignition point, introducing tension and contrast against the more subdued background.

The work is highly layered and dynamic. Visible are palette-knife marks, scratches, vertical drips, and broad, decisive strokes, all of which give the painting a raw, forceful character. The surface looks as if it has been repeatedly worked—painted, scraped back, and revealed again—reinforcing a strong sense of process and time embedded in the work.

Despite the apparent chaos, the painting maintains an inner balance. The golden accents guide the viewer’s eye across the composition, creating rhythm and direction, while the greens stabilize the whole and lend it an organic quality. One may sense associations with nature—minerals, moss, rock—but these remain at the level of intuitive perception, not literal depiction.

“Touch of Gold” can be interpreted as a reflection on value hidden within matter, on moments of light emerging from dense, complex structures of experience. It is an intense, physical, and emotional work that exemplifies Lenartowicz’s characteristic balance between control and spontaneous gesture.

Historie sprzedawców

For us, painting is an expression of ourselves. We have been painting for over 25 years. We mainly deal with modern and abstract painting. For years, we have had great fondness for the color of gold and we use it most often in our paintings. In addition to golden paintings, you can also admire our multicolored abstractions, they add a lot of positive energy to a modern interior. To date, we have sold over 2000 paintings on Catawiki to collectors throughout Europe, the USA and Asia. For which we would like to thank everyone :) Irena and Michał
