Opis od sprzedawcy

A manuscript leaf sprinkled in gold from a Qur'an originating in Mughal India dating C1750. The scripture is bold nashki, 'meticulously produced'. The folio runs from the end of Surah 25, al-Furqan (The Decisive Authority) into the opening of Surah ash-Shu'ara (The Poets). The red marginal is a continuation of the Surah heading (in red in the main text) Makkiyya note, appearing to name the exceptions to the Surah's Makkan status. Note: Makkan (or Meccan) refers to the chapters (surahs) or verses of the Quran that were revealed to Prophet Muhammad before the Hijrah (his migration from Makkah to Madinah) in 622 CE, lasting roughly 13 years.

These closing verses of Chapter 25 conclude a beautiful exposition on the 'Ibad-ur-Rahman (the true servants of the Most Compassionate). They present a character blueprint for the ideal believer alongside a sobering warning to those who reject faith> the transition from the end of Surah Al-Furqan to the beginning of Surah Ash-Shu'ara represents a profound thematic continuation (Munasabah) in Quranic theology, bridging the criteria of human value with the reality of prophetic grief and human free will.

Simple gold round aya mark the verses. The scripture is framed with red linear column, and a blue outer frame line. A 'doublet' decorative marginal Juz marks the end. of chapter 25 and beginning of chapter 26.

Please note that shipping costs are not solely the cost of the postal delivery service itself. Included within the shipping price is the work undertaken to prepare the article, for photography, for uploading to Catawiki, for preparation and packaging the article securely and for transporting the article to the postal delivery agent for processing.

Also, please consider when bidding on this lot that this artwork is shipped from the UK. Import duties will now have to be paid by the recipient to the Postal Service when the parcel arrives in your country. This will likely vary between 5% and 20% of the sale price depending on your country's Import Rate, so please check this if you are concerned. This is a Tax collected on behalf of your Government and is not an additional fee charged by us.

New German customs regulations mean that we are now having to pay customs before the item leaves the UK. Regrettably we have to pass these costs on through a surcharge on postage to Germany. As we don't know the final auctions costs we have estimated the approximate value. If the custom costs more than we have anticipated, we will absorb the additional customs duty.
