About the Artwork
Liquid Emergence is an original work from the Source Forms series, exploring the spontaneous formation of shapes through movement, colour, and the interaction of liquid materials.
Set against a warm copper-red background, the painting brings together flowing layers of deep green, turquoise, yellow, gold, and charcoal. The colours merge and separate into an intricate arrangement of organic shapes, with fine cellular structures, delicate transitions, and occasional metallic details.
The artwork was created using experimental acrylic pouring techniques on Bristol board, subsequently mounted on a rigid MDF panel for stability and presentation.
Some areas remain fluid and translucent, while others form dense, almost sculptural structures. Small details emerge throughout the painting, revealing new patterns and unexpected forms when viewed up close.
The contrast between the calm background and the complex central composition gives the artwork a strong sense of movement. Its forms suggest living organisms, underwater landscapes, and structures found in nature, without settling into a single recognizable image.
As part of the Source Forms series, the work explores how complex forms can emerge from simple physical processes, allowing the materials themselves to play an active role in the creation.
About the Artist
RAUM is the anonymous identity of a contemporary artist working with experimental techniques, natural materials, and abstract forms.
The Source Forms series explores the emergence of shapes and symbols through intuitive creation, combining contemporary abstraction with organic processes and material experimentation.
The artist's work has recently been presented in an exhibition in Lisbon, reflecting an ongoing exploration of natural materials, symbolism, and contemporary artistic expression.
Each painting is a unique original, developed through an experimental process in which materials, textures, and spontaneous forms play a central role.
