Fotograf: Robert Capa
Agencja: Magnum Photos
Wymiary: ok. 18 × 13 cm
Technika: vintage gelatin silver press photograph

The reverse is particularly important and bears several period stamps and annotations:

Period 1954 date stamp and additional editorial/archive annotations.

Capa travelled to French Indochina in 1954 on assignment for LIFE magazine. On 25 May 1954, while accompanying French troops in the Red River Delta, he was killed after stepping on a landmine, making photographs until the final day of his life.

An evocative image from Capa's final photographic assignment, with exceptional period provenance combining Robert Capa, Magnum Photos, LIFE Magazine and the French military photographic archives.

The photograph shows visible signs of professional editorial use and age, including surface scratches, handling marks and minor wear, consistent with an original working press photograph from the period. Please examine the photographs carefully for condition.

A highly collectible piece of 20th-century photojournalism and military photography connected to one of the most important photographers in the history of photography.
