Basile Sepulchre

Basile Sepulchre is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist based in Brussels. His practice spans painting, drawing, linocut, and textile techniques, including embroidery and cross-stitch. Influenced at an early age by his family’s background in ceramics and silkscreen printing, he developed a strong connection to visual expression and craftsmanship. His work draws inspiration from pop art, street art, manga, and comics, while also reflecting an interest in artists such as Georges Seurat and David Hockney. Sepulchre’s compositions often combine bold graphic elements with a careful attention to detail. Through both expressive canvases and intricate linocuts, he explores themes of movement, repetition, and the visual language of urban culture, resulting in a body of work that is both structured and dynamic.
