LIP T18- art deco - 1940s

The house calibre Lip T18 succeeded the T20 in 1933. 18 for 18 mm wide. It was created by André Donat. Its production stopped in 1949. It was the first watch offered to General de Gaulle by Fred Lip. Sir Winston Churchill, the President Eisenhower, all of them used to wear a T18. It was the reference at that time. The anthracite grey dial is in excellent preserved condition given its age. This dial is signed LIP and that inscription is silver coloured. The baguette format hours and Arabic numerals are silver-coloured. The movement of this watch is a T18, it is in great shape and has been serviced for sale. The plexiglass is quite rare. It is the oversized model that allows the enhancement of the dial. Exquisite, it made of amber and in a beautiful preserved condition. The chromed steel case is in a great preserved condition. The original back is made of stainless steel and engraved with the coat of arms of the city of Besançon and numbered. The casing is 21.50 mm without the crown, length 40 mm, strap made of croc leather, with a length of 18 cm without the buckle. Will be carefully packaged and sent via recorded delivery.
