A large and spectacular pewter low jardinière and its metal inner compartment, measuring circa 47,5cm in length and weighing 4220g, with cast neoclassical decoration of garlands over a gadrooned lower section and double foliate handles. Stamped to the underside with maker´s marks of Victor Saglier. Engraved to the medallions with annotation and date 1907. The style suggests the jardinière might be of a slightly earlier date. Condition: Very good, no significant damages or repairs. Minimal wear commensurate with age. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
