A fine Roman bronze antoninianus of Emperor Victorinus (ruler of the Gallic Empire from AD 269 to 271). The obverse presents the radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Victorinus, facing right, with the legend IMP C VICTORINVS P F AVG . The reverse features Sol walking left, holding a whip and raising his right hand. There is a star in left field. The legend reads INVICTVS.
