青铜器时代 黄铜色 羊头吊坠 - 28 mm (没有保留价)

Material: Bronze Dimensions: 28 x 49 x 12 mm Condition: Good condition, with surface encrustation and patina consistent with age. Traces of wear and minor corrosion. Rare bronze ornament from the Koban culture (Northern Caucasus), dating to the Late Bronze Age / Early Iron Age (circa 9th–7th century BC). The ram was a common motif in ancient cultures, sometimes representing fertility and strength. Cast in bronze with a beautiful green patina, the piece displays the characteristic spiral volute decoration typical of Koban artistry. Such ornaments were used as clothing fittings, harness decorations, or ritual adornments, and reflect the highly developed bronze-working skills of this mountain culture. Historical Background: The Koban culture flourished in the northern Caucasus between c. 1100 and 400 BC. It is especially noted for its sophisticated bronze metallurgy, producing weapons, jewellery, buckles, fittings, and ritual objects of remarkable artistry. Characteristic features include spiral and geometric ornamentation, as well as zoomorphic depictions such as deer and rams. Finds from Koban burial sites demonstrate a society with strong warrior traditions and a rich symbolic repertoire, linking the culture with both the steppe nomads and the advanced metalworking traditions of the Near East.
