Cutting : This Hand Axe was made on a large quartzite stone, it was cut on both faces, the butt was left cortical, naturally soft and rounded, thus ensuring a strong and safe grip. Dating, hominid : This implement belongs to the Early Acheulean Culture ( Lower Paleolithic period, circa 700 00 years to 1 000 000 years ago), and was conceived by Homo Erectus). Origin : Found in the South of Morocco. Sizes : 14 cm X 7,5 cm. Condition : Very well preserved. Beautiful Patina. Acquired in 2015 from Mr. Z. private collector, collected since the 70's.
