A pair of Swedish nysilver candleholders in a beautiful Rococo style, produced in Sweden during the 1930s. The candleholders feature an ornate Rococo design with architectural form. Each piece has a graduated baluster stem, and the entire candleholder, from the base to the sconce, is decorated with deep vertical gadrooning. They stand on a wide scalloped base, which provides good stability. The nysilver has a satin luster showcasing high-quality material, with a beautiful patina that highlights the details. The candleholders are in good condition, with light surface wear and a natural patina. One candlestick has adhesive residue at the junction where the stem meets the base, as shown in the photos. This does not affect stability or use. Both candleholders stand stable and look luxurious and stylish. The bottom rim of the base is stamped “PRIMA NS” (prime nysilver) and “SWEDEN”. The undersides are covered with black felt (a bit loose in some places - nothing serious), protecting furniture surfaces from scratches.
