The CAB 412 Cassina chair is one of the most important projects designed by Mario Bellini. Designed in 1977, the CAB chair will soon be known and appreciated all over the world. The CAB is in fact known globally, also for its presence at the MoMA modern art museum in New York.

They still retain the natural scent of the leather.

Cab is the first chair in the world characterized by a self-supporting structure in leather inspired by the relationship between skeleton and skin. Its upholstery is made up of 21 leather parts, punched one by one and subsequently subjected to 22 manual processes.

The individual cut parts are sewn together only after undergoing a chamfering process aimed at thinning the thickness of the parts to be coupled. The padding is then mounted on a steel skeleton and zipped up like a tailored suit.
