A fine Roman bronze antoninianus of Emperor Victorinus (ruler of the Gallic Empire from AD 269 to 271). The obverse presents the radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Victorinus, facing right, with the legend IMP C VICTORINVS P F AVG. The reverse features Sol, walking left, raising his right hand and holding whip in left hand. The legend on the reverse reads INV[ICTVS] and a star features in the left field, under his raised arm.
