青铜器时代 黄铜色 Arrowhead Group (3) (没有保留价)
A group of three Bronze Age bronze arrowheads with various leaf-shaped blades. One arrowhead features a short blade with a broad midrib, which descends into a short, cylindrical stem, leading to a long, narrow tang. Both of the other two arrowheads display longer blades with rounded shoulders, short stems and thin tangs. Patination and earthly encrustations to the surface. Chipping to the edges of the blades.
In ancient times a number of nomadic populations, such as the Medes and the Kassites, settled in the Western Asiatic area. Due to the nomadic nature of the tribes, none of the bronzes were of great size, since it was required for them to be light and portable. Excavated items often included weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulets and fittings. Everyday objects are also found including pins and bracelets. Their artwork mainly comprises ornaments, vessels and weapons. Archaeological evidence suggests that the bronze objects often serve ceremonial functions given their funerary contexts.
Measurements: (circa) L 7.5-8.2cm x W 1.4-2cm
