A Roman bronze appliqué or pendant in the form of a feline, 1st-3rd century A.D. Finely cast as a stylized leaping or crouching feline, possibly a lion or panther, with an open mouth showing teeth, a powerful curved body and a prominent suspension loop at the top of the back. The piece was likely used as a decorative mount, harness fitting or personal pendant. The surface displays a dark green patina. Height: 2.4 cm. Width: 1.8 cm. Depth: 3.8 cm. Weight: 21.43 g.
