Ancient Near Eastern / Eurasian Bronze Domed Harness Mount (Phalera-Type) Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age, circa 1200–600 B.C. A cast bronze domed mount of hemispherical form, featuring a broad circular base and subtly defined concentric ridges across the exterior surface. The reverse is fitted with an integral cast loop, used for attachment to leather straps. Such fittings are characteristic of horse harness equipment or strap-mounted ornaments, serving both decorative and status functions. The robust casting and simple geometric design reflect widely distributed metalworking traditions across the Near East and adjacent regions during the late 2nd to early 1st millennium B.C. The surface displays an attractive green patina with areas of mineral encrustation, consistent with long-term burial. Height 4.1 cm. Diameter 5.9 cm.
