古埃及 银 蝇形吊坠 (没有保留价)
An Ancient Egyptian silver amulet in the form of a fly with its wings open. The body of the fly is triangular in shape with a narrow, triangular wing on each side. The anatomical details of the insect are carefully outlined, including two bulging eyes, a triangular body, and smooth wings. The reverse is flat and unadorned. A suspension loop is featured at the top of the amulet. Earthy encrustations and tarnishing to the surface. Signs of wear as consistent with age, such as minor scratches and pitting to the surface.
The Egyptians wore amulets alongside other pieces of jewellery. They were decorative, but also served a practical purpose, being considered to bestow power and protection upon the wearer. Many of the amulets have been found inside the wrappings of mummies, as they were used to prepare the deceased for the afterlife. Amulets held different meanings, depending on their type or form. Fly amulets are thought to be associated with fecundity.
