Parthian Gold Earrings, 3rd–1st Century BC
A finely crafted pair of Parthian gold earrings featuring crescent-shaped hoops decorated with intricate granulation, filigree, coiled wire ornamentation, and raised globular elements. One earring is embellished with a suspended cluster of granulated beads, while the other terminates in a rounded pendant, reflecting the sophisticated jewellery traditions of the Parthian aristocracy. Such ornaments were worn as symbols of wealth and status throughout the eastern Iranian world during the late Hellenistic and early Parthian periods.
The earrings display exceptional craftsmanship and remarkable preservation, retaining their delicate decorative details and original form. Their elegant design and technical refinement make them excellent examples of ancient Near Eastern goldsmithing and highly desirable pieces for collectors of classical and Parthian antiquities.
