Jamacoaque 文化 公元前3世纪至公元2世纪 Terracotta 玩具人偶 - 6.5 cm (没有保留价)

A Jama-Coaque Terracotta Anthropomorphic figure, Jama-Coaque Culture, 3rd BC to 2nd Century AD Small terracotta figure attributed to the Jama-Coaque culture of ancient Ecuador, modelled with a compact body, raised arms, separated legs, and a prominent head with expressive facial features. The pierced element at the top suggests that the figure may have been suspended, attached, or used as a ritual or votive object. The frontal posture and stylized anatomy are consistent with the symbolic figural language of coastal Ecuadorian cultures. The figure preserves an ancient earthen surface with mineral deposits, weathering, and age-related wear throughout. Its simplified yet expressive modelling reflects the ritual and ceremonial character of Jama-Coaque terracotta production, where small anthropomorphic figures often represented social identity, spiritual beings, or protective symbolic forms. Material: Terracotta Dimensions: 6.5 cm height Provenance: Acquired in the Netherlands from a Dutch private collection formed during the 1990s. All items come with CoA
