A fine Bronze Age cast bronze arrowhead, featuring a triangular blade and a raised central midrib. The blade descends into a cylindrical stem, leading to a long and narrow tang. The blade presents with sharp, downward angled barbs, descending from curving edges. Patination and earthly encrustations to the surface. Minor chips to the edges of the blade. In ancient times a number of nomadic populations, such as the Medes and the Kassites settled in the Western Asiatic region. Due to the nomadic nature of the tribes, none of these bronzes were of great size, since it was required for them to be light and portable.
