This iron kettle is a practical water-boiling vessel crafted by Unando Workshop in Iwate Prefecture, Japan, following the traditional sand casting technique of Nanbu ironware. It is in excellent overall condition, with a complete and three-dimensional pine tree relief on the body and only very slight signs of age on the outer wall. There are minor oxidation spots on the handle, the spout pours water smoothly, and the lid fits the spout well. The interior is coated with a safe enamel anti-rust coating, avoiding the problem of rusting that can easily occur when raw iron is directly used for long-term water storage. It can be used on electric ceramic stoves or heated over an open flame to boil drinking water. The coating is intact with no peeling, leaks, or cracks.
