"____'s Chansey" (often referred to as "Blank-Name Chansey"), included in the "Challenge from the Darkness" Gym expansion set released in 1999, is an extremely rare card highly coveted by collectors. It features a unique design characteristic of the "Old Back" era: a blank space labeled "____'s" in the card name where a player could write their own name in pen. Because children at the time often wrote their names on the cards or used them in actual gameplay, there are very few surviving copies that remain unmarked and in excellent condition—free of noticeable scratches or damage. Collector demand is high; the "Challenge from the Darkness" set is long out of print, and its value has skyrocketed due to the recent boom in interest regarding "Old Back" cards—fueled particularly by demand from overseas collectors. The card is also prized for its charming artwork by Kagemaru Himeno, which depicts a smiling Chansey bursting out of a large eggshell in a heartwarming style. *To avoid issues, please carefully examine the product images and verify the condition before placing a bid.
