新石器时代 Flint 战斧 - 21 cm
Neolithic Flint Axe (Danish Funnel Beaker Culture type)
This is a large, thick-butted flint axe, held in the hand for scale. It is roughly 21 cm long and the weight is 1,175 gram. The body is made of fine-grained flint in grey to brownish-grey tones, with lighter patches of cortex and chalky inclusions visible on the surface.
The axe has a long, slightly tapering body with a narrower butt end and a broader cutting edge, in a form typical of the Danish Neolithic. The cross-section is thick and sturdy, and the sides are narrow and fairly straight.
The axe is complete and in good condition, with a pleasing patina and no breaks. There is minor edge wear and small chips along the sides, consistent with age and use.
Flint axes of this type are generally associated with the Early to Middle Neolithic in Denmark (c. 4000–2800 BC). They were used for felling trees, clearing land for agriculture, and woodworking, and many were also deposited as votive offerings in bogs or buried in hoards.
Measure: 4x9x21 cm. Weight: 1,175 g.
