A beautiful ancient Chinese terracotta tablet known as a tsa-tsa, made during the Liao dynasty (916–1125). It's a unique and very rare artifact mainly used until the Ming dynasty as votive offering placed or buried in reliquary chambers to worship and to enhance the spiritual power of the ancient Buddhist temples, as well-used as amulet to ensure success, prosperity and protection against evil spirits. The sculpture depicts three Buddhas sitting on a lotus flowers with decorative mandorlas behind their back symbolizing and emphasizing the divine nature of the depicted figures. The deities have been carved with exceptional detail and in different poses, their images are enclosed in a great-looking triangular form with originally preserved earth sediments.
Artifact includes acrylic presentation stand and Certificate Of Authenticity document.
