A fine Ancient Roman silver denarius of Faustina II the Younger, the wife of Marcus Aurelius and youngest daughter of Antoninus Pius and Faustina I the Elder. The obverse depicts the draped and diademed bust of the empress facing right, with the accompanying legend FAVSTINA AVGVSTA. The reverse features Salus seated left, feeding from a patera a snake arising from an altar. The legend reads SALVS.
