维京时代 黄铜色 龙足护身符 - 27 mm (没有保留价)

Culture: Viking / Norse Material: Bronze Date: c. 9th–11th century AD Dimensions: Height 27 mm; Width 14 mm Condition: Very good condition, complete with minor surface wear and a stable patina. Description: A finely cast Viking Age pendant depicting a stylized dragon’s foot, with detailed linear ornamentation and openwork design. The upper loop remains intact for suspension. Such pendants were worn as protective amulets, symbolising the strength and power of mythological beasts in Norse tradition. They are often linked to Viking warrior culture and personal adornment during the 9th–11th centuries. Comparable examples have been recovered from sites across Scandinavia and the Baltic region. In Norse mythology, Fáfnir (Old Norse and Icelandic) or Frænir is a son of the dwarf king Hreidmar and brother of Regin , Ótr, Lyngheiðr and Lofnheiðr. After being affected by the curse of Andvaris ring and gold, Fafnir became a dragon and was slain by the brave hero Sigurd. The wearable reminder of this myth would have inspired bravery in Viking warriors.
