Bronze Age Near Eastern Bronze Mace Head Circa 2nd-1st millennium BC This superb bronze mace head is cast in a tubular form, with a slightly everted flattened rim above a short neck with paired annular mouldings and a raised chevron panel; the cylindrical body with twisted-cable ribs punctuated by domed studs in vertical registers; the lower section encircled with close-set rings and finishing in a rounded basal swelling.
