His degree in ancient Near East and Roman Britain archaeology from Manchester University, one of the best in the U.K. and passion for ancient history is reflected in this beautiful and most intriguing artefacts. (1) - A dog figurine depicted with a collar round its neck; purchased in Turkey, 1969 for 150 Deutsche Marks. See photocopy of provenance. (2) - A wild ibex terracotta figure, purchased in Alanya Yagdur, Turkey, 1969 for 50 Turkish Lira (17 Deutsche Marks). See photocopy of provenance. Length: 90 mm Height: 80 mm. (3) The Astarte deity terracotta head depicted some facial features, and intricate hairstyle. Purchased in Alanya Yagdur, Turkey, 1969 for 17 Deutsche Marks -see photocopy of provenance.
