This impressive carved figure of Jesus is made from solid oak wood and stands approximately 70 cm tall. The sculpture dates to around 1880 and is very well preserved, with no signs of woodworm and only minimal surface wear consistent with age. About 60 years ago, the figure was carefully repainted over the original polychromy, helping to preserve both the wood and its overall appearance. The carving shows strong presence and fine craftsmanship, with expressive features and balanced proportions. The piece has been in long-term family ownership. A large and striking devotional sculpture in excellent structural condition, ideal for collectors of religious art or for display.
