Neoclassical Bronze Medal Female Bust 58mm – Large Antique Bronze 19th Century Neoclassical Bronze Medal Diameter: 58 mm – Weight: 32.66 g – Bronze (not silvered) Large antique bronze medal featuring an elegant female allegorical bust in pure Neoclassical style (circa 1830–1860). The portrait shows idealised features, floral hair ornaments, and a finely draped bust, typical of the academic medallic art traditions of 19th-century France and Italy. The reverse is intentionally left plain and later shows light abrasion, a common feature on decorative or salon medals. A small old suspension hole is present on the upper rim, indicating it was likely displayed as an ornamental piece. Metal & Patina Pure bronze, with an attractive aged brown patina. No silvering. Condition Wear consistent with age. Large and visually impressive medal suitable for collectors of 19th-century portrait bronzes.
