Beautiful, large red vase by Fohr, made in Germany in the 1970s. It has the characteristic features of Fat Lava glaze, which was popular in the 1960s and 1970s. The vase has a textured surface with a bright red glaze interspersed with black +some rough spots. Fohr Ceramics was known for its striking designs and was a major manufacturer in the era of West German ceramics. Dimensions Height: 41 cm Diameter at thickest point: 26 cm Diameter of opening: 12 cm Diameter of base: 15 cm Very good condition except for a small chip of approx. 1,5 mm. (see photo Number 6+7) This can be easily concealed with a little black paint. Due to the shiny glaze, it is difficult for me to take photos without reflections.
