1. The Medal "For the Liberation of Warsaw" is a Soviet award from the Great Patriotic War, established in June 1945 to honor those who participated in the assault and liberation of the city in January 1945. The brass medal, round, bears the Warsaw coat of arms (siren) and the dates "1939-1945" on the obverse and the inscription "RP / OBROŃCOM / BOJOWNIKOM / OSWOBODZICIELOM" (To the Defenders, Fighters, Liberators of the Polish Republic) on the reverse.
