Cette pièce présente une glaçure profonde et nuancée dans des tons bleu nuit et brun, avec de subtiles variations et effets mouchetés caractéristiques du travail de Stålhane. L’intérieur révèle une glaçure aux nuances turquoise et bleu, créant un contraste élégant avec l’extérieur plus sombre. La finition brillante met particulièrement en valeur la richesse des couleurs et la profondeur de l’émail. H : 5,5 cm ; D : 9,5 cm Carl-Harry Stålhane (1920–1990) naît en Suède et entre jeune chez Rörstrand, où il travaille aux côtés de Gunnar Nylund. Il développe dès les années 1940 ses propres créations en grès et s’impose rapidement comme une figure majeure de la céramique scandinave. Influencé par la céramique japonaise, l’art moderne et le constructivisme, il acquiert une reconnaissance internationale dans les années 1950. Il produit ensuite aussi bien des pièces industrielles que des œuvres uniques plus sculpturales. En 1973, il quitte Rörstrand et fonde Designhuset avec plusieurs collaborateurs, poursuivant une production plus libre et expressive. From the 1940s, he developed his own stoneware works and quickly became a leading figure in Scandinavian ceramics. Influenced by Japanese ceramics, modern art, and constructivism, he achieved international recognition in the 1950s. He later worked on both industrial designs and unique sculptural pieces. In 1973, he left Rörstrand and co-founded Designhuset, continuing a more free and expressive production. He died in 1990, leaving a major legacy in Swedish design history.
