惊人的月球陨石 Adrar 013 – 阿尔及利亚 – 正长岩质诺赖-辉长岩熔融角砾岩 - 122 g

Description I am pleased to offer a beautiful 122 g specimen of the Lunar meteorite Adrar 013, cut from the original stone to reveal its extraordinary internal lunar structure. The polished section displays a complex impact-brecciated texture composed of numerous lithic fragments embedded within a fine grey impact-melt matrix. An extensive network of shock fractures crosses the specimen and records the violent collisions that continuously reshaped the lunar surface over billions of years. Several light-colored feldspathic areas are visible throughout the section, contrasting elegantly with darker impact-melt domains. Particularly attractive is a large pale clast located near the upper part of the specimen, together with multiple interconnected fracture veins that create a striking natural pattern across the entire cut face. This specimen beautifully illustrates the dynamic geological history of our nearest celestial neighbor and offers both scientific significance and exceptional display quality. A genuine fragment of the Moon. Description

I am pleased to offer a beautiful 122 g specimen of the Lunar meteorite Adrar 013, cut from the original stone to reveal its extraordinary internal lunar structure.

History & Provenance

Adrar 013 was recovered in the Algerian Sahara and subsequently classified as a Lunar meteorite.

This specimen originates from the original larger stone and was cut to expose its internal structure, allowing direct observation of the brecciated texture produced by ancient lunar impact events.

The meteorite was acquired in 2025 from a trusted Algerian meteorite dealer.

Scientific Interest

Adrar 013 belongs to the extremely rare family of Lunar melt breccias, rocks created when asteroid impacts shattered, melted and reassembled pre-existing lunar crustal materials.

The specimen exhibits numerous characteristic lunar features, including:

• Multiple lithic and feldspathic clasts.

• Complex shock-induced fracture networks.

• Impact-melt domains preserved within the matrix.

• Contrasting light and dark lunar lithologies.

• Excellent structural visibility for scientific observation.

The intricate web of fractures visible across the cut surface provides a remarkable illustration of the immense forces that have shaped the lunar crust throughout its geological history.
