Description: medal, 1895 (von Mayer/Schäfer/Dürrich). Bust of Prince Bismarck facing right, above a laurel branch and ribbon inscription. In the field: Bismarck, but for you Germany's truest shield and sword;
Hero in deeds, hero in word, time counts eighty years well spent, your name lives on for eternity."
Reverse: crowned Imperial eagle with wreath and the Bismarck family coat of arms on its breast. Below, on a scroll:- "In Trinitate Robur" (Strength in the Trinity). Around the edge: „Wir Deutsche fürchten Gott, aber sonst nichts in der Welt“ (eng- "We Germans fear God, but nothing else in the world.")
