On that day, while still serving under the Soviet Union, the owner was commissioned as a Lieutenant and assigned to Naval Aviation units stationed in Saki (Crimea). The item has had only one owner since its acquisition: the tunic was worn once for the graduation parade and official commissioning ceremony, and has been meticulously preserved in ideal conditions ever since. According to the regulations of the Soviet Armed Forces at that time, wearing this specific parade uniform was strictly authorized only in the cities of Sevastopol and Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) during official naval parades.
