Antique snuff box from the early Georgian period featuring a beautifully preserved George I, dump coin dated c.1719. In very fine condition. The serpentine shaped snuff box is seated on four bun feet fitted with a solid hinge lid that opens and closes very smoothly. The original inlay of gold plating has worn away which prevented the snuff from spoiling inside the copper base. The exterior has formed a caramel 'honest ghost' patina with reminence of sterling silver plating. overall the condition is excellent a well preserved item from the early Georgian period.
