The coins have a crown on top, representing King George VI at the time. 1945 was the year World War II ended and also one of the last few years of coins before British India's independence (1947), so these coins are witnesses to the shared monetary history of India, Pakistan, and Myanmar. 'C' stands for the Calcutta mint. At that time, the other mint was Bombay. This coin is in excellent condition, with clear outlines and perfectly round holes, making it a very representative circulating coin from British India during World War II.
