Iconic Mid-Century Modern Meissen vase designed by Ludwig Zepner, one of the most important designers of post-war Meissen. Known as the “Fernsehturm” (TV Tower) vase, the striking form combines a slender cylindrical body with a dramatically bulbous upper section decorated with a delicate all-over geometric relief of dots and curved motifs. The glossy white porcelain creates a particularly elegant Blanc de Chine appearance. A superb example of Zepner's innovative 1960s Meissen design, with the original F.A. Kaizer & Zonen Amsterdam retailer mark to the underside, providing an interesting Dutch provenance.
