This set represents the exceptional craftsmanship of Japanese carpentry and woodworking heritage. Set contents: 10 pieces of traditional Japanese woodworking tools (mainly Kanna hand planes, mixed with other carpentry tools). - Maker: Signed on the blade of the largest plane. The inscription is partially difficult to read due to age, but legible characters include "特" (Special), "正", "釼" (Sword), and "山盛" (Yamamori / Sansei). - Era: Taisho period (circa 1910s-1920s). Authentic antique pieces from early 20th century Japan. Material: Wooden body (Dai) with forged steel blades. Provenance / Historical Background: These tools were formerly owned and used by a "Miyadaiku" (宮大工) - a highly skilled traditional Japanese master carpenter who specializes in constructing and restoring Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples using complex traditional wood joinery techniques, without the use of a single nail. Condition: Vintage, pre-owned condition with significant patina and rust on the metal parts.
