Wooden case in the shape of a reliquary. The wood is carved in relief, stuccoed and painted. Gothic Revival's decoration (popular art) representing the 12 apostles. This is a Bible box made in Spain and dating from the early 20th century. The thick wood panels (27 mm) are carved in high-relief. Quite large (33x18x23 cm) and heavy (approximately 3 kg). Interior dimensions 12x28x12 cm. Good condition. However, the stucco is flaking and the original wood is visible in some places (see pictures). The metal pieces are original but a few original nails have been replaced by modern screws (see pictures). Not cleanned or restored, leaving that up to the new owner, depending on your taste.
