Superb antique reliquary with Christ in silver-plated metal – Domed glass – Moulded frame Elegant antique reliquary under convex glass, featuring a finely moulded silver metal Christ mounted on a dark wood cross. The whole is protected by domed glass and framed in a richly decorated oval frame of moulded plaster on wood, decorated with raised scrolls and ovals. This type of reliquary, inspired by the Baroque or Neo-Gothic period, was generally intended for domestic or ecclesiastical use, for private prayer or chapel oratories. The state of preservation is remarkable: no losses, no cracks in the glass, intact metal with original patina.
