A magnificent and rare faience vase from the prestigious La Chambre des Peintres Hollandais atelier of Boch Frères Keramis, La Louvière, Belgium.

Produced between 1880-1920, this hand-painted baluster vase (Model 823, Form 41) represents the finest tradition of Delftware craftsmanship combined with Chinese-inspired (chinoiserie) decoration.

HISTORICAL CONTEXT
La Chambre des Peintres Hollandais was an elite studio within Boch Frères where Dutch-trained painters from Delft and Maastricht created unique ceramic artworks for aristocratic collectors. These pieces were hand-painted (not transfer-printed) and produced exclusively for wealthy clientele.

ARTISTIC FEATURES
- Technique: Tin-glazed faience with hand-painted cobalt blue decoration
- Form: Classic Chinese-inspired garlic-neck baluster vase (Model 823)
- Design: Multi-tiered decoration featuring:
  * Floral cartouches with scrollwork
  * Delicate butterfly and floral scatter patterns
  * Geometric crown border at neck
  * Traditional Delftware blue-on-white palette in multiple shades
- Style: Delftware tradition meets chinoiserie
- Markings on base - model, form number and Boch signature

CONDITION
Excellent condition: No cracks, no chips, no restorations.
Some minor kiln imperfections consistent with hand-made production (som small glaze spots on one side - as produced). Glaze remains vibrant and intact throughout.

PROVENANCE
Private Belgian collection

RARITY & COLLECTIBILITY
This vase represents the pinnacle of Boch's artistic production, with the combination of:
- Hand-painted decoration (not transfer-print)
- Perfect condition (extremely rare for 100+ year old pieces)
- Prestigious "Chambre des Peintres" origin
- Delftware blue-white aesthetic
- Chinese-inspired form and decoration

Pieces from La Chambre des Peintres Hollandais are increasingly rare on the market. This vase, in such pristine condition, represents both a high-quality decorative object and a solid investment in Belgian ceramic art history.
