Spadserstok - Træ, Horn, Messing - Hvide rose af York badge
“Late 20th century walking stick (c. 1970s–1990s), with antler handle and White Rose of York badge
This attractive gentleman’s walking stick features a naturally shed deer antler handle, retaining the textured burr at the top and displaying the warm colouring typical of older antler. Set into the crown of the handle is a decorative enamel badge depicting the White Rose of York, the historic emblem of Yorkshire and the House of York. The antler is fitted onto a shaped wooden grip section that is comfortable in the hand, and beneath this sits a brass collar engraved “1995" a later ownership or presentation inscription.
The straight wooden shaft has an appealing amber-brown tone with visible grain and the small natural knots associated with early to mid-20th-century examples. The overall appearance is clean and well-balanced, combining rustic countryside character with a touch of regional symbolism.
Condition is generally good. The antler handle is solid and well-preserved, and the enamel badge remains bright with only minor age-related wear. The brass collar shows light rubbing, while the shaft retains its finish with scattered small marks and dents consistent with age and use. The stick remains strong and suitable for display or practical use.
