1966 Château Cheval Noir & 1955 Château Puyblanquet - Saint-Émilion - 2 Flasker (0,75 L)
I am selling one bottle of Château Puyblanquet 1955, bottled at the Château, and one bottle of Château Cheval Noir 1966, bottled at the Château (distributed by the négociant Mahler-Besse S.A.). Both come from my cellar and have been stored in a climate-controlled cellar at 13 degrees Celsius.
Château Puy-Blanquet 1955 is a red wine from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation.
Aroma profile: The dominant notes include aromas of red fruit, black cherries, and spices, evolving with age towards nuances of tobacco and oak.
Storage conditions: By 2025, a bottle of 1955 is considered a collector's item, and its tasting experience will depend entirely on storage conditions.
The 1955 vintage in Bordeaux is generally recognized for its high quality, producing balanced wines with excellent aging potential.
Château Cheval Noir 1966 is a red wine from the Saint-Émilion appellation, located on the right bank of Bordeaux.
Ownership: The estate has belonged to the Mähler-Besse family (also co-owners of Château Palmer in Margaux) since 1937.
Blend: Traditionally composed of approximately 85% Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (5%).
Terroir: The vines (approximately 6 hectares) thrive in the sandy-clay soils typical of the region.
Vintage 1966: Considered a classic and age-worthy year for Bordeaux wines, 1966 produced balanced wines with good tannic structure.
