Nanga painter born in Osaka, the son of Ueda Kochu. He learnt painting from his father and did well in flower-and-bird painting. He also studied the tea ceremony under Issai - 聿斎.
with signature 'Koho' 耕甫 and seal 'Cho in' 長印 'Koho' 耕甫
